2024 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc
2024 marked the return of consistent warmth throughout the growing season. In short, there’s no mistaking these wines as anything other than Californian.
This wine threads the needle exceedingly well in maintaining traditional, varietal Sauvignon Blanc characteristics while also reflecting the warmth of the vintage. The notes of grapefruit, white pepper and fresh cut flowers are very consistent from our vineyard.
The Semillon in the blend comes across as lemon curd and pear, but also adds a touch of body to the wine and breadth to the palate. The slight spike of acid on the midpalate most likely reflects the pinch of Sauvignon Gris. In general, there’s a lot going on here and that complexity will continue to build over time.
