2012 Potter Valley Riesling
Nose Opens with rich peach and cut apple aromas. Lychee and rose high tones along with wet stone and class Riesling spice round out the nose.
Palate Soft and round entry on the palate with great weight and acid balance, this wine offers juicy layers of apricot and white peach flavors.
Finish All rounded out with a long rich finish of spiced pear tart.
2012 was a wonderfully refreshing change after three cooler vintages. Best described as “classic,” it was a wonderfully warm, even, near-ideal growing season with very few weather challenges, which delivered excellent quality fruit. The later season in Potter Valley lends itself perfectly to growing Riesling, allowing for long slow maturation and flavor development with great balance and lower sugars.
