The idea of one face being “the face of Chateau Montelena” embodies the flaw of social media practice in the wine industry. The Chateau needs at least several very different faces to speak to the distinctly unique #tasteTribes of the different varietals and styles that are in release. Rich, thank you for your feedback. I understand your point and would like to clarify that this particular position will not overshadow the many other faces that make up the Montelena family and perhaps we could rephrase that to make it more clear. We will be making more of an effort to introduce the many faces of Montelena in the future and are simply looking for one more person to join us.
